The United Kingdom officially opened the new graduate route, which was announced last year, from July 1 2021. Indian origin Priti Patel, UK home secretary, launched the new graduate immigration route.

 Work After Graduation

 New graduate route is the work visa allotted for students after completion of their graduation inthe UK, they are allowed to work legally for two to three years. For PHD students, it is 3 years. This will benefit the students from outside the UK to stay and get international work experience. This is good news for Indian students who are applying to UK universities for higher studies.

Breaking the rule of requirement to stay in the UK for a certain time period to get graduate route visa, The UK government has extended the time limit up to 6th April 2022 to help distance learning students including those from India who are not able to travel to the UK due to pandemic and travel restrictions.

 Earlier the deadline was 27 September 2021, now extended to April 6 2022 as most of the countries are in the red zone due to pandemic and new variant threats.

 Means, students who are applying for 2021-22 academic year can stay in their home country and study their program online up to the time allotted, which will not disrupt their post-graduation work chances.

New Graduate Route Benefits-Choose Your Work and Gain Work Experience on Global Platform

 Yes, a graduate can choose work as per his/her intention.

 Another advantage for international students is there is no need to get a prior job offer and a graduate is allowed to work for any company, job or even switch jobs as per his willingness.

 Means, there is no rule here that a graduate with this post study work visa has to do the job as per the qualification or skill.

 He/her is free to choose any work at any skill level at any pay scale.

 

The new graduate route will help the international students along with Indians to advance their careers and gain valuable skills with 2 or 3 years of international work experience.
