 Canadian government has extended the ban on Direct flights between India-Canada and Canada-India until 21 August 2021 as a part of covid-19 measures.

 Travel Ban Affecting Studies

 Indian students who got admissions in Canadian universities and colleges are willing to travel to Canada and begin their studies. However the covid-19 and it's mutation and air travel bans have been hindering their education goals.

 Amid this air travel suspension, what is the process the Indian pupils are required to follow to reach their dream study destination and start their student journey without breaks anymore.

 
       ●       Though there are no direct flights available from India due to the ban, Indian students can travel via an indirect route to reach Canada.

 ●  However, a pre-departure COVID-19 molecular test from a third country is required before reaching Canada.

 ●       Indirect routes (third party nations) are Serbia, Frankfurt, Dubai etc. One can choose the third party route as per their plan and preparation.

 ●       Get informed about the third party countries covid protocols, quarantine system, required documents etc before choosing the route

 ●       A valid study permit or letter of introduction is mandatory

 

    ●       Show proof that you are enrolled in a designated learning institution that has a Corona readiness plan.

 

     ●       Firstly, check your college on the government website about the designated institution status.

 

    ●       Contact your college before planning the journey and get the information on the quarantine plan and take their help for the betterment. Your institute has to provide you with food and required medicine during your stay. Talk to the college officials to clear your doubts and plan accordingly.

 

   ●       You are required to submit your quarantine plan to Canada border officials through the ArriveCAN app that is being used for officer-travel communication throughout the journey

 

    ●       Submit all the required documents in the App

 

     ●       Quarantine plan is a must for fully vaccinated people as well. Vaccination document should be either English or French, or else a certified translation is required.
