The United
Kingdom has already enforced strict measures such as lockdown, border checks,
quarantine rules for international passengers, to suppress the spread of mutant the coronavirus that posed a big threat not only to Britain and Europe but to
the whole world.
The government
led by Prime Minister Boris Johnson is taking stringent actions to curb the virus has placed few countries, which are having an impact on corona and new
strains are placed in the Red List.
Red List-Banned From Travelling to the UK
Few regions from
South America and Africa have recorded the new variants of the corona, these
countries have been kept in the Red List by the UK including the latest adds
The United Arab Emirates, Burundi, Rwanda, and Portugal.
People belonging
to these countries are not permitted currently to enter the United Kingdom,
while the UK residents and Irish nationals arriving in the UK from this corona hotspot regions are required to undergo quarantine for 10 days.

enforcing new regulations and moving forward on a mission to combat the Corona
infection, the Uk government is all set to implement a compulsory regulation for
the people (UK residents) coming from the corona hotspot places and as per the
latest rule the travelers belonging to the countries being affected badly by
the new variant is required to get quarantined in a hotel room allotted by the
government authorities, under the observation of government security.
British officials
have announced the date about the Hotel Quarantine and when it kick-starts.
Travelers From high-risk countries (Coronavirus Hotspots) are required to
undergo “Hotel Quarantine” Process starting from Feb15, 2021.

Quarantine for UK residents arriving from hotspots
Travelers have
to stay in hotel rooms for ten nights
The government
will book hotels near airports and converts them as government quarantine
facilities
Government has
been booking thousands of hotels, in such a way that there should be enough
capacity to accommodate more than 1,000 people a day
Hotels at or near
airports- Heathrow, Gatwick, London City, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester,
Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Aberdeen are being reserved by the UK
The government
will provide security personnel at the hotel, and they monitor the
safety/health measures and facilities ensuring that everything is carried out
as per the government orders
Per day three
meals (hot and cold options) will be provided in their rooms
Estimated cost
for the person in hotel quarantine-£80/night
Sources reveal
that the UK is required to spend more than 50 million pounds to execute this

What Rules Applies For Indian Students Arriving The UK?
Required to
provide covid negative result report to the airline before flying to the UK
The covid test
should be taken within 72hours before the scheduled departure
Upon arrival,
must provide a quarantine plan to security officials at the UK airport. Submit
contact details and the accommodation details of self-isolation
Can use public
transport to reach their destination
Not allowed to
break the mandatory quarantine period and safety/health measures, big fines for
violators
Can take help
from friends, roommates, relatives, or neighbors for essential food/medical
supplies
