New Zealand is all set to welcome international
pupils who are not able to travel to the country due to border restrictions.
The NZ government has kick-started a recovery
plan for international education, as a part of it, thousand international
students will be allowed in phases and the eligible students who are close to
graduation are given first priority.
The plan initiates from April 2021 and 1000
students will arrive in New Zealand in phases. The first phase begins with
welcoming a group of 300 abroad students in April, while the remaining students
will also arrive in phases throughout the year as per the managed isolation and
quarantine availability.
It is to be noted that the international student
sector is one of the key revenue sources for NZ economy and it is quite
essential for the country's long-term economic recovery after Covid-19 damage.
