Latest Rule for
International Air Passengers
As a part of the stringent measures being taken, the
Canadian government has announced a new rule to be followed by abroad people
who are coming to Canada.
It states that the international passengers who are
travelling to Canada are required to show their negative covid19 report to
their respective airline officials before boarding the flight. The new rule will come into effect from
January 7, 2021.

The latest regulation prescribed by the federal
government of Canada must and should be followed from 7th Jan by all the
students, immigrants, work professionals etc. including Canadian citizens who
are to travelling to Canada from abroad nations.
There is no exemption for anyone, even citizens of
Canada have to follow it.
The passenger must take the Covid-19 molecular
polymerase chain reaction (or PCR) test within 72 hours prior to the scheduled
departure of the flight to Canada.
It is to be noted that PCR test results are only
considered authentic.
It is also to be noted that the 14-day quarantine is
mandatory after arriving in Canada even for travellers with negative.
Every passenger must have a quarantine plan like
accommodation, plan to reach the accommodation, plan to get needed groceries
and medicines etc, which will be reviewed by an official at the Canadian
airport.
If the officer is not satisfied with the plan, the
respective passenger is required to stay in the quarantine facility provided by
the government; however, the expenses have to be paid by the passenger.
The violation of the health guidelines will lead to
six months of prison and/or a fine of $750,000.
