Good News For Indian Students In UK: Newly Approved Yet Another Covid Vaccine Rolls Out For Public From Today, Aims for a Massive Vaccination

 


The United Kingdom is facing hard issues with the outbreak of a new strain of the coronavirus, and the govt. officials are implementing strict lockdown protocols across the nation and have divided the places into four tiers evaluating the serious spread of the virus in particular regions.

 

Meanwhile, the Covid vaccine has come to the rescue in these serious conditions.

 

A few weeks ago, the United Kingdom approved a vaccine for covid19 discovered by Pfizer and BioNtech, a big relief to the public in the current times.

 

Already, the Pfizer and BioNtech corona vaccine shots are being served to the public on a priority basis through the mass vaccination program. A large number of vaccination centers have been opened. The government ordered millions of doses in order to cater to the vaccine needs of the nation, which will support the international students including Indian pupils in corona times.

 

Here comes the good news. The UK government approved yet another Covid vaccine manufactured by Oxford-AstraZeneca and the first dosage of the vaccine will be rolled out today for the public.

 

After approving Pfizer and BioNtech Covid vaccine which is 95 percent effective in handling the virus, the UK government recently approved another covid19 vaccine developed by Oxford-AstraZeneca.

 

The UK govt. ordered nearly 100 million vaccine doses of the latest one to counter the vastly speeding infection, the doses are sufficient to inject 50 million people.

 

As per reports, nearly 5 lakh AstraZeneca covid19 vaccine doses will be rolled out from today and will be delivered at vaccination spots. The government is all set to increase the vaccination centres to 1000 plus, and more than 100 hospitals and nearly 180 general practitioners are coming on to one roof to serve the public in these critical conditions.

 

People over 50 age and youth with health conditions will get vaccine shots in the first phase of the rollout - the total number of people is expected to cross 25 million.

 

The recent quick developments in the UK are a big relief to Indian students who are studying in the UK varsities and colleges. It is to be recalled that the government made an announcement last month that the international students who are prone to corona infection are on the priority list of the vaccination program. As there are double covid19 vaccines, there is no need to worry.

 

As two vaccines are the armor, the UK aims to vaccinate more than 2 million people a week. Even the UK prime minister assured that more people will get vaccine doses as quickly as possible.

 

The elated and proud Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, has showered praises on the newest discoveries of Covid vaccines and he even stated it as a great victory of British science. The prime minister announced that more people will be vaccinated at a rapid pace.
