The United Kingdom Targets 600,000 International Students by 2030, Revealed New Policy

The United Kingdom has set a huge target of inviting 600,000
international students by 2030. The Home Office head of Student Migration
Policy announced it at the Independent Higher education (IHE) 2020 Policy Live
virtual conference. Despite the impact of Corona on the education sector, the
UK is not taking a back step in setting a big target in immigration inflow.
Speaking at the conference, The Home Office head of Student
Migration Policy, Paul Jeffery revealed that the government is all set to
increase the number of international students (higher education) in the UK. He
also quoted the new immigration system as “simple and successful”.
The new graduate route will launch in 2021 summer and it has
many advantages
However, the first rule of the new immigration policy that
was launched on October 5 is now in effect, while the remaining along with
including the points-based skilled worker route, will launch on 1st December.
No need for maintenance, no need for sponsorship, and even
no requirement for English language requirement, but what is required is
“successful completion of the course”.
A student who successfully completed a degree or masters
will get eligibility to work for two years, while three years of work permit
for a student who successfully finished a course at a doctorate level.
It is very clear that the new policy is laced favorable and
attractive to international students.
In the wake of the second wave of Corona, the president of the United Kingdom had announced the second lockdown. The government is taking all the necessary measures to control it, released guidelines such as health and safety measures, what to be open, and what are to be closed amid pandemic.
