Germany Is World's Fourth Biggest Destination for
International Students
Germany is one of the most significant abroad education destinations for students belonging to other countries and the percentage of international students willing to study here has been gradually increasing year over year.
The latest survey
by The German Academic Exchange Service or DAAD and the German Centre for
Higher Education Research and Science Studies revealed that Germany is the World's
Fourth Biggest Destination for International Students.
Nearly 320,000 international students studying in
Germany constitute 10.5% of the country’s student body, in the previous year
2019, reveals DAAD report.
The report also
suggests that the strength of the students belonging to MENA countries
increased by around 68% in the last three years before 2019, while the students
from the Asia Pacific, Western Europe and North Africa plus Middle East makes
up 30%, 18.4%, 17.7% of the total international student volume respectively.
India is one of the biggest sources of
international students in Germany, comprising 7% of the international body
respectively.
China students
account for 13% of the strength.
In the panic times of Covid19 pandemic also,
Germany remained as one the most attractive study destinations for foreign
students.
Besides good pandemic control, Germany’s
healthcare system and accepting nature are drawing the attention of foreign
students.
Germany is welcoming International students to pursue their programs for the on-going winter semester, and even online/distance learning students are also allowed to enter terminating the earlier restriction.
