Canada Alters PGWP Again To Favour Abroad Students
The second largest country in the world and one of the highly developed, Canada is bringing new amendments in visa policies to support the international students who are not able to arrive to pursue their studies.
Universities are conducting online classes for local/international students to get rid of the pandemic and minimize the time loss.
We all know that earlier Canada has altered post-graduation work permit (PGWP) in favour of International students who are enrolled online due to Corona infection.
The amount of time spent by online students outside Canada will be counted toward a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).
As per the earlier alerted rule, the duration after the study permit will only be added in Work Permit.
Extending their support to distance learning students, Canada has brought another significant change in the post study work policy.
Lately, Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has amended PGWP eligible criteria.
As per the latest addition, the time invested by online learners in their courses before getting their study permit (as long as their course starts in 2020) will also be counted for post graduation study permit.
The latest extension in PGWP requirement is an additional benefit for international students including Indian students who are willing for Canada education
